Plans to enjoy with the kids this summer in Seville
With summer here, the long-awaited holidays are upon us. For many parents, the simple idea of planning activities during the summer season makes them dizzy. However, Seville is a city that does not give rise to such uncertainty. Here you can never get bored.
Seville is unbeatable at any time of the year, but Seville’s summer gives rise to an endless number of plans for the whole family to enjoy. It is a fantastic city for the kids to have fun. Whether for its cultural offer, its historical heritage or its leisure activities, the city will only surprise you and the little ones.
Are you ready to immerse yourself in Seville’s summer plans? Let’s get started!
Fun at Isla Magica
The Isla Mágica amusement park is, without a doubt, an experience you can’t miss on your list of things to do this summer. The park, set in the discovery of America, offers a multitude of attractions for all tastes, aimed at both children and adults, where everyone will test their bravery and discover what they are made of.
The park also offers its visitors different shows where there will be music, fun and, of course, laughter and smiles from the little ones.
As if that wasn’t enough, Isla Mágica also has swimming pools and hammocks where you can relax and take a dip. It is impossible to get bored at Isla Mágica.
A walk through María Luisa Park
If you fancy a quieter plan in which to enjoy the company and natural surroundings, the María Luisa Park is the perfect choice. And, if it’s a hot day, it’s the ideal place to take shelter in the shade of the trees.
The children can enjoy the different garden areas and the various fountains and ponds in the park. The easiest way to explore every corner of the park is to rent a four-seater bicycle, also known as a ciclo, so you won’t miss a thing.
Visit to the Aquarium of Seville
Summer is not only for soaking in the water, but also for soaking in knowledge and experiences. And the Seville Aquarium is the perfect place for this. The aquarium offers a tour that recreates Magellan’s first voyage around the world, where both you and the little ones will learn about history and discover the different marine species that can be found in the sea and the ocean.
The aquarium also has different summer camps for children where they will have a great time. One of them is ‘Los guitarrones rebeldes’, for which registration is already open and which will be held from 26 to 30 June and from 3 to 7 July.
And, if you want to really soak it up, then Guadalpark is not to be missed. It’s a water park with numerous attractions and facilities to suit all tastes: slides, zip wires, swimming pools, children’s area and restaurants. At Guadalpark you’ll be immersed in a sea of family fun that both you and the little ones will be eager to repeat.
Sailing on the Guadalquivir
If there’s one thing that characterises Seville, it’s the Guadalquivir River, and what better way to explore it than by boat? Embarking on this new adventure, both you and the little ones can soak up the essence and beauty of the city from the water, escaping the hustle and bustle of the city and breathing in the breeze and freshness of the Guadalquivir. What better plan than this?
Isla de la Cartuja and CaixaForum
Another fun option for the kids is to visit the Isla de la Cartuja. The opening of the Torre Sevilla shopping centre has given rise to a multitude of entertaining plans for the whole family that will make it an unforgettable day out. In addition, CaixaForum offers numerous cultural activities designed especially for children: from exhibitions and workshops to concerts. For example, since 5 May, CaixaForum has been hosting an exhibition on Egyptian mummies, which will run until 3 September. Here you will learn about the process of mummification and the concepts of death in Ancient Egypt. A cultural bath in the fullest sense of the word!
Seville and the performing arts
Seville hosts a multitude of cultural activities of all kinds and for all audiences and, of course, theatre shows could not be missed. This summer, El Teatro de la Alameda, Sala Cero or Casa La Teatro offer numerous plays for children and for the whole family, such as ‘Una de romanos’, a play for all audiences that takes place in Sala Cero. In addition, at Casa La Teatro, every weekend morning they offer children’s activities such as magic shows, theatre, storytelling, puppet shows… A range of possibilities where there is no room for boredom.
The House of Science
Our last recommendation is the Casa de la Ciencia. It is a museum that offers scientific activities not only for children, but for the family in general. If you and your children are curious about the world of nature, animals or planets, the Casa de la Ciencia is definitely a must visit. Who said you can’t learn in summer?
