The best cultural plans if you visit Seville in spring

Seville in spring is synonymous with outdoor plans. There is a Seville for all tastes: the classic and the modern, the traditional and the avant-garde, the new and the traditional. Which one is yours?

The most musical Seville

Enjoying early music in a dream setting such as the Real Alcázar of Seville is one of the most popular plans in spring thanks to the Seville Early Music Festival (FEMAS), which every season takes us back in time. The season of flowers brings proposals that we can enjoy outdoors, such as the indie festival Interestelar: two days of the best music of the moment in the Andalusian Centre of Contemporary Art, a sustainable event suitable for the whole family. These are also days to have fun with the family. The little ones also have their own musical space in the city’s cultural scene, with the daring and original proposals of Big Bang Festival.

A city with a lot of theatre

If the performing arts are your thing, spring in Seville is one of the best times of the year. The Seville Circus Festival Circada will leave you open-mouthed: captivating and fascinating circus without complexes takes to the streets of the city. Inclusive theatre is the protagonist of EscenaMobile, the International Festival of Art and Diversity. Dance, theatre, plastic arts and music come together to raise awareness, make visible and move people, both in the street and in the much-loved Alameda Theatre. And if you’re looking for something original and fun, don’t miss the International Puppet Festival, which brings puppet theatre to the neighbourhoods every May, with shows, exhibitions and workshops by companies from all over the world: glove puppets, rod puppets, shadow puppets, string puppets… There’s everything!
