St. Peter's Church
Catholic temple in Gothic-Mudejar style
The building consists of three naves, two portals and a tower with belfry. The main facade, on Santa Angela de la Cruz street, is from 1612, attributed to Vermondo Resta, formed by a semicircular arch between pilasters of Mudejar tradition, with 3 circular stained glass windows where the central and largest represents St. Peter, and those on the sides to St. Paul and St. Joseph. In the second doorway, facing the Plaza de San Pedro, has a semicircular arch between paired pilasters and over the arch opens a niche in which is a stone statue of St. Peter made in 1624 by Martin Cardino.
The tower is located on the top of the tower.
The tower is located next to the side door, has two easily distinguishable bodies; the first and oldest of Mudejar architecture; the second body, where the bells are, dates from the sixteenth century. But also, finally and since 1597, the tower presents a top with a remarkable tile spire made by Martin Infante.
