Ceramics

It fascinates us Sevillians and those who visit us. Our streets are authentic tile galleries. They are very traditional, very popular, very contemporary. The sevillian Sevillian ceramicsare as polyhedral as we are. If you go to Triana, you will see that typical Mudejar style in patios and streets. Don’t miss the Triana Ceramics Center to know it all. If you go to the Plaza de España or the Reales Alcázares, you’ll want to take entire walls home with you. It’s pure beauty. If you want something everyday, look for plates, bowls or búcaros (maybe you call them botijos). For a little chic, ask for unique pieces from La Cartuja or Marqués de Pickman. More contemporary? Take an advertising tile route through the downtown streets. Or, wear it as a piece of jewelry or as a super-modern piece of decoration: in Seville there are artists who make this clay into avant-garde art.

Spanish Guitar

What is that that you hear in the streets, in the terraces, among friends…? Flamenco, and more specifically the one that comes out of a Spanish guitar. Very popular (rare is the one who does not know how to play a few notes), very alternative, with its young luthiers making it an object of bohemia.

Visit the workshops of these artisans or look for them in stores, but we don’t answer: they are addictive and you may end up with one at home. What if you discover your next hobby? If you never learn to play it, it’s great as a decoration.

In Seville we pay homage to it in the Santa Cruz neighborhood, at the Casa Guitarra, the first Spanish museum dedicated to this art, and at two festivals that drive us crazy: The Seville Guitar Festival and the Flamenco Biennial.

Flamenco fashion

Very traditional, very groundbreaking. Because we are talking about flamenco fashion, not flamenco dresses, since they are the only regional costumes that are renewed every season. Seville is unique even in its traditions and flamenco dresses are part of its essence. It is true that they usually meet some basics: ruffles, polka dots, prints, bangs, lots of color … but no one knows what will come next season. That’s why we look forward to the two most important flamenco catwalks, which at the beginning of the year bring us the trends of the best designers. They are SIMOF and We Love Flamenco.

Have you ever seen yourself dressed as a gypsy? It’s an experience not to be missed. They say it looks good on all women. Go to try on dresses to those fantastic stores in the most historic streets and do not cut yourself, put on all the classic accessories: the shawl, earrings, bracelets, flowers…. They are pure craftsmanship.

Jewelry

Luxury is also very Sevillian. If you are looking for that jewel or that watch that dazzles you and makes you feel special, you will find an exquisite blend of great brands, very classic designs and contemporary pieces. And is that we put aesthetics in everything we do and even the buildings of jewelry and watch shops are great.

Moda

Sevillian craftsmanship is also palpable in fashion and the city has become an important epicenter with local designers such as Victorio y Lucchino or Toni Benitez, but also other national and international designers who have realized that Seville is fashion.
