Nights of music and beauty in the Real Alcázar of Seville
The Alcázar is one of the most famous places in Seville. Its gardens are one of the most emblematic places of the city, because of its history, but also thanks to its beauty. A space, World Heritage Site, that allows us to go across ten centuries of the history of Seville.
In summer, it is possible to visit this amazing place in an even more special way, living the experience of the “Noche en los Jardines del Real Alcázar de Sevilla”, a decisive moment that takes place during the summer months for 25 years. This year, Juan Bueno, the delegate of Finance, Tourism, Citizen Participation and Transformation, presented the “XXV Edición de las Noches en los Jardines del Real Alcázar”, together with Miguel Ángel González, the director of the cultural management company Actidea.

The Noches en los Jardines del Real Alcázar will take place between the 20th of June and the 14th of September and are an initiative of the Real Alcázar and the Casa Consistorial of the Seville Town Hall, programmed and produced by the cultural management company ACTIDEA. Enjoying one of these magical nights is a way of getting to know the city in summer when its nights lengthen and a new Seville unfolds.
With a big prestige between the musicians of the highest level inside and out the city, the Noches en los Jardines del Real Alcázar de Sevilla have turned into a reference for the dissemination of the artistic and cultural heritage of Seville. This year the activity will be held for 75 nights, during which it will be possible to enjoy the monumental space, as well as the best live music. The price will be 7 euros per tickets in all sales channels.
Learning about history through music
The different stages and moments of the city of Seville will be reflected in the Noches en los Jardines del Real Alcázar de Sevilla. The musical programmes have been selected to cover the millenary life of the Alcázar, from the Medieval period to the present day. In total, 45 groups, which will be organised into six general blocks: Flamenco, Músicas de Raíz Europea, Músicas del Mundo, Música Clásica, Música Antigua and Otras Músicas. These six stylistic lines make up the programme, but, in addition, small thematic cycles have been woven to evoke stories or important figures in Seville’s cultural legacy. Therefore, of the 75 Noches en los Jardines del Real Alcázar, 50 are dedicated to 11 thematic lines: Italy, cradle of the Baroque, Centenary of the death of Gabriel Fauré, 150th Anniversary of the birth of Reynaldo Hahn, 75th Anniversary of the death of Joaquín Turina, Centenary of the birth of Henry Mancini, 50th Anniversary of the death of Duke Ellington, Music from Spain, From Latin America, Generation of 27, Names of Women, Year of Portugal.
Public access to the gardens will be limited to the time between 9 p.m. and 10:25 p.m. The concerts will begin at 10:30 p.m. in the Jardín del Cenador de la Alcoba and will be the last moment when it is possible to enjoy the nightlife of the Real Alcázar.
