Magallanes Park

The origin of this park, within the Torre Sevilla complex promoted by CaixaBank, arose with the aim of creating a quality landscaped public space of more than 40,000 square meters for the city of Seville.

Commemorating the First Round the World Race

The project, designed by architect Guillermo Vázquez Consuegra, responds to criteria of landscaping and environmental sustainability, respecting the more than 200 existing trees, to which are added more than 190 new trees of different species. Among these new groves is incorporated a network of paths and a pergola that will provide shade to enjoy the walk.

The new Fernando de Magallanes Park has a sustainable urban drainage system. This drainage network enhances the infiltration of water into the subsoil. In addition, for the construction of the pavement, a material has been used that increases permeability and allows better management of rainwater.
